Femoral triangle
The femoral triangle is a region in the upper thigh where important structures pass through. It's bound by the inguinal ligament superiorly, the adductor longus muscle laterally, and the sartorius muscle medially. Key contents within this triangular area include the femoral nerve, artery, vein, lymph nodes, and occasionally the deep inguinal lymph nodes. These structures are crucial for the blood supply, nerve innervation, and lymphatic drainage of the lower limb.
